I'm Mike, the creator of Peko Pal. I have two young children that LOVE stories. They've been asking me to tell them stories since shortly after they began talking. Each night when I put them to bed, I recount stories from my childhood, or make up something entirely new (creative Paw Patrol stories are often suggested). Sometimes they are just my fond memories. Sometimes, I try to relate them to something we're planning to do the next day, or a vacation we're planning. I love telling stories, and they love hearing them.
It was during these bedtime storytelling sessions that the idea for Peko Pal began to take shape. I wanted to create something that could bring the magic of storytelling into the hands of kids everywhere—something fun, interactive, and capable of sparking their imaginations just like my stories do for my kids.
I have a background in computer engineering, enjoy 3D modeling, and... let's just say I have quite a bit of experience programming. So, I started designing and coding in my workshop, developing the early versions of what would become Peko Pal. There were lots of 3D-printed prototypes, plenty of trial and error, but the vision was clear: to build a toy that could share stories, answer questions, and grow with kids as they develop.
After many late nights and prototypes, I finally created Peko Pal, a smart companion that kids can talk to, learn from, and share their own adventures with. It’s been an incredible journey, and I’m excited to share Peko Pal with families everywhere.
The heart of Peko Pal is simple: It’s about creating lasting memories through stories, just like the ones I’ve created with my kids. I hope it brings as much joy and inspiration to your family as it has to mine.
